Oona Minoo :

How did we become what we are? What shapes us, what makes us decide to choose one way or the other? And is it possible to transform oneself into someone or something completely different? The human body in fusion, connection, and distinction to his environment is the topic of this dance piece. Dance, projections and live electronic music melt together into a moving journey through different stages of being and becoming. A continuous metamorphosis. “You say you gonna change this world, but this world changes you. When did it all start? With the egg from which you emerged? Have you really ever been a blank slate?”

Mia Kim:

I always have thought I am dancing to speak and making choreography to speak up. Ultimately, I am trying to talk about my identity which is women and asian. I have thought women and also Asian was unlisted story through the history, as women voice has just announces in our history, Asian women was also new to the world. my research project for my Master’s degree.

Carla Parcianello:

AHWŌ is a dance duet born by the collaboration between Carla Parcianello and Claudia Quaglia with the intent to sensibilize around the environmental problem. We strongly believe art could play a critical role in engaging young people and adults with new perspectives on climate change.
The topic we are proposing on stage is VIRTUAL WATER.
This specific issue is undervalued and unknown by most of the people, but it is of particular relevance in our world as it involves every aspect of our everyday life (the food we eat, the clothes we are wearing, the cars we are driving, the lights we switch on and off in our houses and so on).

Time: the show starts at 20:30 at the Bizetpad 1, 2324JP, Leiden
